This weekend’s races include:

Hornet Hustle 5K located in Rossville, IN with a 8am start.

Bears of the Blue River Festival 5K & 10K (pdf) in Shelbyville with a 7:30 start. This USATF Certified course also includes $$$ awards for overall winners.

NOTES

Pendleton hosted a major high school cross country meet on Wednesday with 20 schools and about 300 runners. Six athletes were sent to the hospital with heat related problems while 20 others were treated at the event. This story and a complete recap and pictures of the event was published in today’s The Herald-Bulletin (Anderson’s paper).

The saga with the Indy Classic Marathon continues as the IndyStar reports again with comments from Ken Long, Matt Ebersole, owner of Athletic Annex, and Hal Higdon, an author and marathon expert. It seems that race organizers may have bitten off more than they could chew.
