{"id":710,"date":"2008-10-27T04:05:43","date_gmt":"2008-10-27T09:05:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.teamcrossworld.com\/running\/?p=710"},"modified":"2008-10-26T12:18:52","modified_gmt":"2008-10-26T17:18:52","slug":"week-in-review-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.teamcrossworld.com\/running\/2008\/week-in-review-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Week in Review"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"\/running\/images\/treeinriver.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" title=\"tree\" src=\"\/running\/images\/treeinriver.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"216\" height=\"162\" \/><\/a>This was a pretty good week all around.\u00a0 I was feeling a lot more motivated to run and despite a very busy schedule at work this week I still managed to get some good runs in. The cooler weather has made biking to work a little bit more of an adventure!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tuesday<\/strong> I went for a four mile run on my Downtown loop and finished in 30:14. It was a chilly 34 when I left the house, so I pulled out the pants for the first time this fall. It was a nice run though, especially enjoying the sunrise hitting the skyline!\u00a0 I also threw in a couple of faster paced sections to see how my legs would react &#8211; went pretty well I think!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Wednesday<\/strong> I ran for 5 miles along the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.teamcrossworld.com\/running\/2008\/midtown-greenway-recreational-mecca\/\">Greenway<\/a>. It was a cool 42 with a slight drizzle for most of the run.\u00a0 I finished in 38:36 and had another pleasant run!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Thursday<\/strong> I rode for 14 miles, but didn&#8217;t get a chance to run.\u00a0 Riding feels pretty good, but you need gloves and something over the ears &#8211; I forgot both for part of the ride!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Saturday<\/strong> I ran with some of the guys on a new trail (for me at least) along the <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Minnesota River\" rel=\"wikipedia\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Minnesota_River\">Minnesota River<\/a>.\u00a0 It was about 8.5 miles on single track and bulldozer track trails.\u00a0 Ever tried running on bulldozer track? We took it pretty easy and finished in 1:17:29.\u00a0 It was a fun run, dodging trees, jumping creeks.\u00a0 Ahh that is what running is supposed to be like!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sunday<\/strong> My ride <a href=\"http:\/\/www.twitter.com\/crossn81\">twittered <\/a>me that he was sick and wasn&#8217;t going to go to the group run and a quick call to another guy wasn&#8217;t answered, so carless I was left to run on my own.\u00a0 I rolled over and enjoyed sleeping in. I ended up running 7.5 miles alone.\u00a0 It was a cool 42 with wind gusts well into the double digits, I didn&#8217;t think to check the real-feel.\u00a0 I had no real plan for the run, just that I was going downtown and the hitting the river.\u00a0 I ended up making my way to the U of Minnesota&#8217;s campus via the East River Road before crossing Franklin Ave Bridge and heading home.\u00a0 It was a nice run, except for the headwinds.\u00a0 I&#8217;m glad I got it finished before the cold-wet snow started flying!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Weekly Mileage:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Running &#8211; 24.6 miles<\/p>\n<p>Biking &#8211; 22.5 miles<\/p>\n<div class=\"zemanta-pixie\" style=\"margin-top: 10px; height: 15px;\"><a class=\"zemanta-pixie-a\" title=\"Zemified by Zemanta\" href=\"http:\/\/reblog.zemanta.com\/zemified\/203c47df-f603-40f4-80d4-daa546dac553\/\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"zemanta-pixie-img\" style=\"border: medium none; float: right;\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/img.zemanta.com\/reblog_e.png?w=625\" alt=\"Reblog this post [with Zemanta]\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This was a pretty good week all around.\u00a0 I was feeling a lot more motivated to run and despite a very busy schedule at work this week I still managed to get some good runs in.
