{"id":5549,"date":"2014-07-02T12:53:17","date_gmt":"2014-07-02T17:53:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.teamcrossworld.com\/running\/?p=5549"},"modified":"2014-07-02T12:53:17","modified_gmt":"2014-07-02T17:53:17","slug":"30-days-june-into-july","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.teamcrossworld.com\/running\/2014\/30-days-june-into-july\/","title":{"rendered":"30 Days: June into July"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>The June\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.teamcrossworld.com\/running\/2014\/12-challenges-for-2014\/\">30 Day Challenge<\/a>\u00a0was to write a blog post every day. I missed 4 days from the month. \u00a0Which isn&#8217;t too shabby. Several of those times I thought about something to write and then totally forgot to do it. I did enjoy writing, even though it felt forced sometimes. \u00a0Sometimes I had a great idea and then struggled with finding the time for research and writing. \u00a0I wrote a bunch of the simple posts via my tablet&#8217;s WordPress App. \u00a0That is a pretty easy way to write a basic post &#8211; but it stores them on the device which makes it difficult to start writing and then update later or add pics or media.<\/p>\n<p>I didn&#8217;t do a really good job of recording all of my mileage and it was a little challenging to always remember which way I did my commute. \u00a0But my May stats are:<\/p>\n<p>Running &#8211; 50\u00a0miles<\/p>\n<p>Biking &#8211; 85\u00a0miles<\/p>\n<p>Crossfit &#8211; 11 times (some were core work at home)<\/p>\n<p>Yay, I finally got my running mileage up. \u00a050 miles isn&#8217;t anything to get too excited about, but it is definitely and improvement. \u00a0The biking mileage on the other hand is a significant drop. \u00a0That is partly due to the fact that my commute is now half of what it was during the school year! And a week off during vacation. \u00a0I&#8217;ve also switched into half marathon training mode &#8211; instead of riding mode. \u00a0 Though I do need to be careful since I&#8217;m doing Powderhorn 24.\u00a0\u00a0I joined a Crossfit box about halfway through the month so that is an addition to my training program!<\/p>\n<p>July&#8217;s\u00a030 Day Challenge is to\u00a0be outside for at least 15 minutes each day. \u00a0It seems super easy, so we&#8217;ll see how it goes. \u00a0I would think between my running and biking that I&#8217;d easily hit that. Plus at summer school we go out for recess which ends up being about 15 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Other goals for July are to be consistent at Crossfit and to get some fundraising posts up for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.teamcrossworld.com\/worldvision%20\">Team World Vision<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The June\u00a030 Day Challenge\u00a0was to write a blog post every day.
