{"id":1761,"date":"2010-01-04T11:09:34","date_gmt":"2010-01-04T16:09:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.teamcrossworld.com\/running\/?p=1761"},"modified":"2010-01-04T11:09:34","modified_gmt":"2010-01-04T16:09:34","slug":"end-of-an-era","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.teamcrossworld.com\/running\/2010\/end-of-an-era\/","title":{"rendered":"End of an Era"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The\u00a0 final week of 2009 included a few good workouts.<\/p>\n<p>Two Elliptical workouts (5.4 miles), 2 swimming workouts (1,050 yards)\u00a0 and 3 weights (machines at 50lbs)!<\/p>\n<p>No snow shoveling, though I need to go out and break up some ice!!\u00a0 The sun comes out and melts enough to make a messy situation in the morning.\u00a0 Especially when the overnight temps get down into the negative double digits.<\/p>\n<p>My foot had been feeling better, though the heel was still sensitive to direct pressure.\u00a0 I thought things were looking up.\u00a0 Sadly, I slammed my foot on the pool wall (I miss judged the distance while turning around) and it has been hurting again.\u00a0 Part of me is ready to give up on it and start running again.\u00a0 Now that it is a new year, I&#8217;m going to get into a sports doc and see what the &#8220;other options&#8221; are.\u00a0 Amputation?\u00a0 Cortisone? Botox?
