{"id":1627,"date":"2009-09-21T14:30:27","date_gmt":"2009-09-21T19:30:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.teamcrossworld.com\/running\/?p=1627"},"modified":"2009-09-21T14:30:27","modified_gmt":"2009-09-21T19:30:27","slug":"tcm-training-week-16","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.teamcrossworld.com\/running\/2009\/tcm-training-week-16\/","title":{"rendered":"TCM Training Week 16"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This past week was a blur.\u00a0 We closed on our house on Tuesday and have been working on it since then.\u00a0 We&#8217;ve cleaned, painted, moved, cleaned again, and done some needed repairs.\u00a0 Man am I exhausted.\u00a0 I did manage to squeeze my miles in &#8211; a much needed break from the stress.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Past Posts<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We all want to get faster, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.teamcrossworld.com\/running\/2007\/a-lost-art-striding\/\">striding<\/a> is one way to accomplish that.\u00a0 USATF is trying to be a better, friendlier organization.\u00a0 One way they are doing that is through a CEO Blog, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.teamcrossworld.com\/running\/2008\/usatf-ceo-blogs\/\">my thoughts<\/a>. Want to know what it is like to live with HIV\/AIDS, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.teamcrossworld.com\/running\/2008\/the-world-vision-experience\/\">World Vision Experience<\/a> helps you understand. A nice 5k loop with great views and wildlife is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.teamcrossworld.com\/running\/2008\/pike-islands-trails\/\">Pike Island<\/a>, one of my favorites.\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.teamcrossworld.com\/running\/2008\/foto-friday-41\/\">Foto Friday<\/a> was in honor of my wedding anniversary.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Last Year&#8217;s Mileage<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Run: 33.3 Miles<br \/>\nBike: 48.0 Miles<\/p>\n<p><strong>This Week&#8217;s Running<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Tuesday <\/strong>morning I ran alone, since we would need the evening to work on our house.\u00a0 I ran 7.5 miles on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.teamcrossworld.com\/running\/2008\/running-the-minneapolis-riverfront\/\">Minneapolis Riverfront<\/a> loop. I finished in just under an hour. It was 59 and humid.\u00a0 I did at least 8 &#8220;fast intervals&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Thursday<\/strong> was a 5 mile run on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.teamcrossworld.com\/running\/2008\/midtown-greenway-recreational-mecca\/\">Greenway<\/a>.\u00a0 It was 60 and humid. I ran this &#8220;tempo&#8221; run in 39:11.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Friday<\/strong> I went to the gym again and stretched, foam rolled my IT band, and relaxed in the hot tub.\u00a0 This has been really helpful in keeping my leg loose, which helps my foot.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Saturday<\/strong> we ran from the Nokomis Community Center to and around Lake Harriet getting about 11 miles in.\u00a0 I finished in 1:26.\u00a0 It was 60 and humid, again!\u00a0 Most of the run was at 7:30 pace and I got dropped about 8 miles into the run.\u00a0 They came back once, picked me up, and then picked the pace back up!\u00a0 Oh well.<\/p>\n<p><strong>This Week&#8217;s Mileage<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Run: 23.5 Miles<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This past week was a blur.\u00a0 We closed on our house on Tuesday and have been working on it since then.\u00a0 We&#8217;ve cleaned, painted, moved, cleaned again, and done some needed repairs.\u00a0 Man am I exhausted.\u00a0 I did manage to squeeze my miles in &#8211; a much needed break from the stress.
