{"id":1453,"date":"2009-07-06T04:27:47","date_gmt":"2009-07-06T09:27:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.teamcrossworld.com\/running\/?p=1453"},"modified":"2017-03-11T14:26:43","modified_gmt":"2017-03-11T19:26:43","slug":"tcm-training-week-5","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.teamcrossworld.com\/running\/2009\/tcm-training-week-5\/","title":{"rendered":"TCM Training Week 5"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Getting back out there.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Post Review<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Just like me last year, Ryan and Sara Hall have devoted their running to help <a href=\"https:\/\/www.teamcrossworld.com\/running\/2008\/ryan-sara-hall-join-team-world-vision\/\">raise money for World Vision<\/a>.\u00a0 Last year&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.teamcrossworld.com\/running\/2008\/foto-friday-30\/\">Foto Friday<\/a> was a stock fireworks picture.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Last Year&#8217;s Mileage<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Run: 28.9 Miles<br \/>\nBike: 49.0 Miles<br \/>\nSwim: 400 Yards<\/p>\n<p><strong>Last Week&#8217;s Training<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It was nice to actually run again.\u00a0 The week started out pretty well. I felt good after <strong>Monday<\/strong>&#8216;s 1.5 mile run around my neighborhood.\u00a0 <strong>Tuesday<\/strong> was the first group run and it was good as well.\u00a0 My foot hurt a little bit but not too bad.\u00a0 I cut the run a little short at 5.5 miles in 43:28.\u00a0 We have a lot of new people in our training group this year.\u00a0 Our pace&#8217;s group almost doubled.\u00a0 I took <strong>Wednesday <\/strong>off and ran 1.9 miles on <strong>Thursday<\/strong> around the neighborhood again.\u00a0 I could feel a little foot pain but nothing major.\u00a0 I took <strong>Friday<\/strong> off of running but ended up riding my bike for 27.77 miles with a good portion of that being between 18-20 miles per hour, so got a pretty good workout!\u00a0 On <strong>Saturday<\/strong> we met at the Calhoun Executive Center and the scheduled plan was to run 12 miles.\u00a0 I planned on running about 6 or so.\u00a0 I ended up running 7 around Lake Calhoun and Cedar Lake.\u00a0 I felt fine while running but afterward my foot started hurting more.\u00a0 I took a quick swim in the cool water of Calhoun &#8211; mostly just to\u00a0 ice and relax a little bit, before heading home and enjoying the 4th of July festivities. On <strong>Sunday<\/strong> Christy and I went to the YWCA and swam.\u00a0 I did 450 yards throwing in 2&#215;25 yard all out &#8220;sprints&#8221;.\u00a0 It was a nice, fairly easy workout.\u00a0 I actually almost puked in the pool though after the 2nd sprint.\u00a0 Oops, luckily it was just that nasty taste in the back of my throat.\u00a0 So I stopped for a bit and recovered.\u00a0 As always sipping my <a style=\"text-decoration: none;\" href=\"https:\/\/healthreporterdaily.com\/reviews\/patriot-power-greens-review\/\"> <span style=\"text-decoration: none; color: #000000;\">patriot power greens drink<\/span><\/a> in the hot tub is a nice way to finish a swim workout.<\/p>\n<p><strong>This Year&#8217;s Mileage<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Run: 15.9 Miles<br \/>\nBike: 50.0 Miles<br \/>\nSwimming: 450 Yard<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Getting back out there.
