Bike commute day!! The last few weeks I’ve gone places after riding so it was kind of nice to just get to ride home. Though it felt like I had headwind the whole way home and I felt tired. It was a nice temp though, I think 72 and partly cloudy.

Kids and I did an Orienteering “race” at the Severs Fall Festival in the morning. It was fun to make it through the corn maze, hay bale maze, and grounds via 20 some controls. The corn maze was a little tricky. We had a lot of fun doing it. They did a good job putting the controls in fun places and we ended the event going down a short zipline!

After the race we got to stay and enjoy the festival before it was open to the general public which was quite nice!
In the afternoon I went on a leisurely bike ride with the wife and we rode to Cedar Lake and back so about 6 miles. The fall colors are great!

45 degrees! A great morning to ride. Long sleeves with a vest and full fingered gloves. It was just getting light out too. Through the hour ride I only saw one other rider on the trails. On the way back home I saw a bunch in the parking lot.
I opted to ride the MORC trails and did all but Brownie. It felt great and the fall temps and colors are coming!

I rode to work and then happy hour and then to a show at the Trailhead! It was cool riding wearing my sweatshirt for some of the riding. There was sprinkles on the ground but I didn’t get wet at all in the morning. It rained during the day and that was it.
I took a few pics of some flowers with the skyline in the background!

A relaxing morning with no where to go. I headed West on the Cedar Lake trail and cut through Hopkins to the Minnetonka trail. I was on my Trek road bike but didn’t have any trouble with the chipped limestone. I did have some trouble with a few running groups. The one was talking so loud they couldn’t hear me asking for the pass so I had to yell. Geesh!
It was a nice day to be riding. Mid-50’s. I didn’t have a specific plan or destination. Though I did at some point decide to cut over through Gray’s Bay which I’ve done a few times and know the route. Going past that adds a good chunk of distance I think. And taking McGinty adds some good hills, but makes for a shorter ride. Route 101 is hilly enough. I stopped at Gary’s Bay and ate a bit and then kept going. I wasn’t specifically in a hurry and was enjoying the ride. But I did set a few segment PRs. I rode back on the Luce Line and it wasn’t too exciting.
The leaves are starting to change and fall, so it is quite pretty out there!
